Collection: Leonidas
Leonidas’ founder Leonidas George Kestekides was born on 18 July, 1882 in Anatolia, Greece. At 18, he emigrated to the U.S. where he learned the confectioner trade, and eventually created the world-renowned brand that bears his first name; this marked the beginning of a life destined for greatness.
As part of the Greek-American delegation, Leonidas presented his confectionery products in the 1910 World Fair in Brussels, which was visited by 13 million people. There he was awarded the bronze medal, and his love affair with Belgium began. Leonidas never left Belgium again, and chocolate lovers the world over will be eternally grateful for that !
